Cleaning and maintenance measures for the hydraulic system of the hydraulic excavator: store the oil in a clean position, and be careful when changing the oil or refueling. Only use a clean funnel equipped with a fine-grained strainer to pour oil from the container into the tank.

Keep the hydraulic system of the hydraulic excavator clean:

(1) regular replacement of hydraulic oil and filter

Good hydraulic oil contains a variety of additives, these additives can prevent oil deterioration.

However, these additives lose their effectiveness over a period of time. Therefore, the oil should be changed regularly to ensure that the additives are working.

The filter can only absorb a limited amount of dirt particles and other impurities from the oil.

For Hitachi Construction Machinery hydraulic excavator ZX series (medium) machines, please replace the hydraulic oil tank return filter every 1000 working hours, and clean the hydraulic oil tank suction filter when replacing the hydraulic oil to keep the system clean.

When replacing the hydraulic oil filter, please check whether there are metal particles or debris at the bottom of the filter; if there are copper or iron filings, it indicates that the hydraulic pump, hydraulic motor or valve may be damaged or will be damaged. If there is rubber, it indicates that the seal of the hydraulic cylinder is damaged.

(2) Periodically drain the tank contamination

Regularly release the water and sediment in the oil tank is very important for removing impurities in the oil, but it is also very important to regularly replace the hydraulic oil in the entire hydraulic system. This is the only reliable way to completely remove system impurities, oxidized hydraulic oil and other harmful impurities. The clean hydraulic oil recommend by Hitachi Construction should then be reintroduced into the hydraulic system.

Drain the hydraulic reservoir sump contamination every 250 working hours.

(3) Cleaning

If the hydraulic oil of the hydraulic excavator is contaminated, especially when the pump or cylinder and motor are damaged, all hydraulic oil must be replaced and the oil tank must be cleaned.

Keep the hydraulic excavator working area clean

Make sure that the area around the filter case cover is clean when replenishing or re-adding hydraulic fluid to the reservoir.

Use only clean funnels or containers.

Do not bring dirt into the system.

When maintaining the hydraulic system of the hydraulic excavator, only clean plastic plug heads can be used to seal the ends of the pipeline.

When maintaining the hydraulic components of a hydraulic excavator, the workbench must be absolutely clean.

Check the condition of the tools used, they should also be very clean.
